Hardly anyone can sit with me for more than 30 seconds and fail to discover that I am a really enthusiastic Democrat. I am super-proud of our party platform, and I am really, really happy to be publicly listed among advocates of that platform in the voter rolls. This, by the way, is how I understand party enrollment. When you register to vote as a member of a political party, I fully expect that you approve of your party platform, and I fully expect you to champion most of its causes. I don’t know why you would register with a party if this weren’t your goal.
A few months ago, the MassDems sent out a call to convention attendees asking that they answer a few questions about why they were Democrats and who inspires them. Some friends recorded my answers in their music room. Here they are. Note: That is Mitch’s upright bass, not mine.
