No one should have to choose between their health and their vote.

Voters in the Commonwealth deserve to have a no-excuse mail-in ballot option this year for every election. No one should be forced to choose between their health and their vote.

Tomorrow, the Joint Committee on Election Laws is holding a hearing on bills relative to election administration in response to COVID-19, including S.2653, which would provide an early voting period for both the state primary (9/1) and the general election (11/3), and allow all voters to vote by mail for both elections.

To encourage Beacon Hill to act swiftly, email both the House and Senate chair of the Election Committee and tell them that voters in the Commonwealth deserve mail-in voting in 2020 for both the state primary and the general election:

House Chair John Lawn: John.Lawn@mahouse.gov
Senate Chair Barry Finegold: Barry.Finegold@masenate.gov

The hearing will be livestreamed on the Facebook page of State Senator Barry Finegold
The meeting agenda and details on other bills which will be read can be found ehre: https://malegislature.gov/Events/Hearings/Detail/3486

Graphic includes illustrations of three carrier pigeons with envelopes in the beaks, and text which reads, “Mass voters need mail-in voting in 2020” and indicates the date and time of the hearing, as well as email addresses for the chairs of the committee.
